The first thing to address on this issue is equality.
GLBT persons do not want “special provision or rights” but Equal rights under the law, extended to cover ” All”.
Now that being said, GLBT persons could say ” we want special rights ” being ignorant. Nonetheless, GLBT persons are saying ” Equality “.
Hate crimes laws also need to be expanded. As of Today, the US House are due to vote on this issue.
Further, To refuse Equality to every American should be illegal.
Many Republican senators, and congressmen and congresswomen are now supporting same sex marriage.
It is as much of a right for same sex marriage to be accepted, and legally binding as it is for hetro marriage.
Rights are not presently completely extended to all Americans. That is the shame.
For those who think that same sex marriage should never be accepted, I challenge you. I challenge you to find one hetro marriage that has ended in divorce “BECAUSE” gay marriage is now on the table.
I challenge you to find the real deal here, and understand that without accepting other persons for who they are.. is simply put un American.
Look at our history, our national history..,
Are we going to walk into the future blind, or clearly see the fault of the past- and not just correct it, but ask for forgiveness to those we have hurt.

We believe that same sex couples should have equal rights in Marriage as anyone.
The shame here is that, people have been frowned upon and hated because they are gay. Fired from their job, and denied specific rights that “married couples” have.
This is an outrage and just wrong.
